Two Supplies to Keep Classwork Organized

Organization SuppliesStudents run into the problem of staying organized.  Either we start out organized and then don’t continue or we just ignore being organized.

Being organized throughout college will help you make sure you don’t forget anything and allow you to worry about doing the homework that is due. We can start and stay organized by having two office supplies from your local general or office supplies store.

The two esstential supplies that will keep your classwork organized are:

  • A simple 3-ring binder
  • A file organizer that is a ‘hybrid’ of a trapper keeper and a portfolio of folders

How do these supplies bring organization for you and your classwork?

Everything is There and Sorted

We tend to get an assignment or some paper work from our classes and just stuff it in our backpacks, sometimes not even that.

The simple 3-ring binder will consist of dividers (one for each of your classes) and notebook paper under each divider.  This will keep all your notes together in one place.  Need more room to write? Either supply your binder with more paper or get a bigger binder.  I prefer to start out with an inch and a half.

On a side note: be sure this is a durable binder (yes, they cost a few cents more, but this will save you frustration later) because this is one of two primary supplies for your classwork.

With the portable file organizer, you can stuff your assignments and any other documents into the necessary slot.  This supply works just like the simple 3-ring binder, but has a purpose for your assignments or anything that is important.

We do not want to run into the trouble of finding a document that is due or where we put those notes. It’s all there and sorted.

Only Two Items to Remember

What’s nice is there is only two items.  We don’t have to worry about multiple folders and notebooks usually for each class.

Think about if you were to go to class and forgot the folders or notebooks you actually needed for that time or that day.  These two supplies will prevent that problem. But, of course it ultimately relies on us to remember to put the needed classwork and preparation in the binder and file organizer.

Two items to remember will hopefully make us remember to do certain classwork or to allow for more time to study from the well-organized notes.

  • Nice tip dude.

Another good one is to create a time of when you’re going to be studying alone so that you can create some structure to your work.

Success people are organised. It’s one of reasons that they’re successful.

  • These are two great items! Unfortunately I don’t have either…. oops. Maybe I should consider them. I like the post a lot! AND I like how it says POST AUTHOR or whatever with the comments… to define your post and everybody elses. Keep on rockin Deej :)

    • You will have to consider them. Additionally, you do not have to worry about wasting notebooks at the end of the semester. Instead just create your own notebook by binding the notes you have from the class together at the end of the semester from your binder. (if they are that important)

Side note: I like the post author image too, thanks to Nick from SiteSketch101.com, but I need to design my own.
