Calling All Mothers to Use Twitter

75940737Yes, this is the first post about Twitter on LifeNotion.

But, I am not going to talk about the very specifics of Twitter, instead I am going to talk about how new and veteran mothers can benefit from Twitter.

Are you a new mother?
Do you know someone who is a new mother?
Are you part of the new mother’s support team?
Have you been a mother for years?
Do you have any advice when it comes to motherhood?

Twitter just recently updated by coming out with “lists”, which are talked more about in this article by Mashable. These lists are created by anybody using Twitter with the purpose to gather certain followers or people you are following together. This allows people, such as new mothers, to congregate and share the information directly with a group of people with the same interest. Additionally, it also allows anyone not part of that group to view what is being said.

The call for new mothers on Twitter has happened, but I encourage if you are a new mother or know of a new mother to join the other new mothers on Twitter.

Still not sure?

Focusing on one new mother that is using Twitter (follow her @newmother), she is already part of four lists that pertain to new motherhood. Within these lists are other new mothers or people providing knowledge about new motherhood.

Some specifics or examples include:

What mothers are talking about on Twitter:

  • Parenting tips
  • Pregnancy pointers
  • Having the right diet to stay healthy
  • Problems with solutions to child development
  • Interesting stories about their newborns
  • Great meals to prepare for a new family
  • What to do around the house
  • Early childhood education

And this list goes on!

Building Relationships with Other Mothers

Finally, if you are a new mother or not a new mother and feel you know the ranks when it comes to motherhood, you can build relationships with other mothers on Twitter. Think about a resource that is always at your finger tips if you want to give advice or get advice from other mothers.

Below is an example of a possible conversation amongst mothers:

The LifeNotion: If you are new or a veteran at motherhood, Twitter and Twitter lists can answer any questions and connect you with other mothers.
