Waking up seems to be a daunting task for many of us.
Sure it might be a daunting task, but everyone wakes up and does something ever so slightly different. For me, my morning routines certainly change between when class is in session versus being on break.
What I’ve learned though is that if we adjust our morning routines to allow us the maximum amount of productivity our days are whole lot fresher and we will get more done during the actual day rather than rushing throughout the night hours.
I do know that many of us work better during certain times of the day. Such as many of us work better at night time or early in the mornings. This might be due to less distractions. I’m just pointing out that if we wake up with a new routine that will guarantee us completing many tasks in a short amount of time, we will be successful with whatever we are doing.
Let’s Get Started
I obtained this 5 simple step process that we can all go through to make sure we are waking up with a routine that will allow us to have a productive day. This process was obtained from Stepcase Lifehack, which was also published on Lifehacker.com
- Draft a short list of the things you do each morning and what you’d like to add.
- Figure out how much time it’ll realistically take to do everything on your list.
- Adjust your wake time to accommodate your new ritual.
- Go through your list each morning for at least 2 mornings before making adjustments.
- Once your adjustments are made, enjoy!
I know I will take these 5 simple steps to mind to ensure I’m going to have a productive day, will you?
Remember though. In order to wake up right, we need to be productive and do what we are going to say we are doing otherwise there will be a long night. You have the power to control this cycle to work in your favor.
The LifeNotion: Changing our routine can simply increase productivity only if we live up to what we set out for accomplishing.

I write down the things I want to do the night before. I’m usually a night person so my mornings by default are unproductive – I don’t really mind that much as I know I get things done at night
As long as you get done what you need to get done and develop a routine that is all that matters.
